WebCheck and your browser may not use the same network path, resolver, address family or edge-security treatment. A difference does not automatically mean WebCheck is wrong; compare the evidence and the request path before changing the monitor.
Compare the exact target
Confirm that the monitored URL, path, port and redirect destination match the page you tested. A browser may follow a different starting URL or use a cached result.
Check DNS and address families
Review recent DNS changes and whether the hostname returns different A and AAAA addresses. A local network may prefer IPv6 while the monitoring path reaches IPv4, or the reverse.
Check the edge and firewall
Review WAF, CDN, rate-limit and firewall events for the monitoring request. A Cloudflare challenge, 403 or 429 is different evidence from a timeout or a 5xx application response.
Use WebCheck evidence
Open the run or incident and compare status, timing, final URL, redirects, resolved address and error code. Re-run the check after confirming the target and compare the new evidence with the earlier result.
Limitation
WebCheck observes the path available to its monitoring worker. One monitoring location cannot prove that every visitor, region, resolver or network sees the same result.
