WebCheck runs monitoring checks according to the interval configured for each monitored target. The default target interval is five minutes, but the interval can be changed within the limits of your plan.
What happens when I add a site?
The first scan is scheduled immediately so WebCheck can establish an initial result. After that, the target follows its configured monitoring interval.
Can I check it immediately?
Yes. Use Run now when you want a fresh result outside the normal schedule. Manual checks do not require you to wait for the next scheduled run.
Why did a check take longer than expected?
Transient network failures may be retried every 10 seconds for up to 60 seconds before the final result is recorded. Security-policy and network-safety blocks are not repeatedly bypassed.
Do all check types need the same frequency?
Not necessarily. HTTP availability can benefit from frequent checks, while DNS and TLS configuration generally changes less often. WebCheck should use a cadence appropriate to the type of check and the monitoring needs of the target.
What controls the interval?
The target interval controls scheduled monitoring. Changing it affects future scheduled runs, while existing history and incidents are retained.
