WebCheck plans and monitoring limits

Understand the current WebCheck site, target, interval, history and notification limits and why they affect monitoring setup.

WebCheck applies plan entitlements to the number of sites and targets you can monitor, the interval you can select, retained history and notification destinations. The Account entitlement response is authoritative for your account; the values below are safe defaults used when no override is supplied.

Default limits

  • Free: up to 3 sites.
  • Other standard plans: up to 10 sites unless Account supplies a different plan mapping.
  • Agency: up to 50 sites.
  • Default target limit: 5.
  • Default minimum interval: 5 minutes.
  • Default maximum interval: 24 hours.
  • Default history retention: 30 days.
  • Default notification destinations: 1.

Features and intervals

The default feature flags enable webhooks and TLS checks. Account can override plan features and numeric limits. WebCheck rejects a target interval outside the entitlement minimum and maximum, and it prevents site or target creation when the corresponding limit is reached.

Why limits matter

An interval controls future scheduled target runs. It does not rewrite existing history or incidents. Different check types also have minimum cadences configured by WebCheck, so slower-changing DNS, TLS, domain-expiry and security-header checks do not need the same cadence as HTTP availability.

If a limit blocks setup

  • Review the plan and entitlement state shown by Account.
  • Remove an unused site, target or notification destination if appropriate.
  • Choose an interval within the available range.
  • Do not create duplicate targets to work around a limit.
  • Contact the account administrator when the entitlement response looks wrong.

Important limitation

Plan values can be supplied by the shared Account service. This article documents WebCheck defaults and enforcement points, not a promise that every account has identical limits.
